In the late 19th century, three innovation platforms (telephone, automobile and electricity) evolved around the same time and changed the way the world worked - Productivity exploded and costs dropped, unleashing demand across many sectors. Today, the global economy is undergoing the largest technological transformation in history thanks to at least five innovation platforms evolving at the same time, including Energy Storage, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Genome Sequencing and Block-chain Technology. In addition, multiple disruptive technologies are also evolving rapidly, including 3D Printing, 5G, Autonomous and Electric Vehicles (AV/EV), Cloud, Fin-tech, Solar and Space Exploration. These technologies are now enabling services which are fundamentally changing the way the world works! For example, gasoline engines will go the way of the horse and carriage, paper-based cash will become obsolete, AV-based shared networks will make private cars ownership superfluous and robots will build new cities on Mars! Welcome to the future of disruptive innovation.
MEETING THE CHALLENGE
⮚ STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) education offers students extraordinary career opportunities in this era of disruptive innovation globally
⮚ However, the lack of access to STEM resources in schools impacts students from different backgrounds disproportionately
⮚ LTC Programs aim to empower and inspire students of all backgrounds to pursue these opportunities globally
