EDUCATION MATTERS!
India continues to face one of the worst educational crises in the world. Over 13 million children are out of school and illiteracy levels are high. Over 25% of the children cannot read and 50% struggle with basic arithmetic. Drop-out rates are unusually high at 12.6%. India’s spending on education is just 3.5% of GDP compared to its 2020 National Education Policy goal of 6%. Let’s talk about this because Education Matters!
