Sixth Sense Media (SSM) created the industry’s leading real-time Analytics and Mobile Marketing solution for consumer engagement that drove new revenues for mobile operators. Thomas developed the company’s strategy and led its global business development, operations and growth. He led the secondary buyout transaction of Sicap AG’s Loyalty Business Unit and managed the company’s acquisition by Evolving Systems (EVOL) in 2015. SSM solutions engaged over 500 million subscribers at 25 mobile carriers worldwide. Customers included British Telecom, Swisscom, Vodafone, VimpelCom, RostelCom & KPN in Europe, Etisalat, Zain, INWI and Ooredoo in the Middle East and Africa and iDEA Cellular, Digi and Maxis in South and Southeast Asia.

Sicap AG was founded in Switzerland over 20 years as a spin-off from Swisscom. Sicap’s portfolio include solutions for mobile SIM and device management and loyalty and mobile marketing. Thomas developed the partnership with Sicap that led to Sense Media Media’s (SSM) acquisition of Sicap’s loyalty and mobile marketing business unit.

Lumata’s innovative solutions created longstanding relationships with many leading telecom operators Orange and Telefonica as well regional operators in Europe, Africa, the Caribbean, the Middle East and Asia. Thomas led the acquisition of the company from its primary investor Francisco Partners, a leading global private equity firm which specializes in investments in technology and technology-enabled businesses.

BLS’ ability to effectively leverage granular subscriber data created impactful marketing campaigns that delivered measurably greater data revenue, improved loyalty and net promoter scores. Thomas led the acquisition of the company from its primary investor – Sir Peter Michael Investments.

Thomas served as a board director from its start-up through the acquisition and was actively involved with strategy, corporate development and recruitment of the leadership team. The company grew from zero to over 100 enterprise customers world-wide. Thomas led the merger with Network General which was acquired by NetScout (NTCT) in 2007.

Allegro Systems was a developer of Virtual Private Network (VPN) acceleration technologies designed to enhance the performance and functionality of secure networking platforms. Cisco acquired Allegro Systems to enhance its existing VPN and security solutions with added performance.

CrosStor, based in Massachusetts developed firmware for manufacturers of Network Attached Storage (NAS) products that could be addressed directly on a network like a server. Crosstor developed the software that allowed NAS servers to be better integrated in storage networks.

CCSS (a division of Consolidated Communications) delivered a comprehensive software as a service (SaaS) to the competitive integrated telecom service providers in the US. Thomas created the product architecture, oversaw the development of the SaaS platform and led business development programs. Customers included MFS, ACC, Cablevision-Lightpath, RCN, NextLink and other competitive local telecom carriers. CCSS and its parent company Consolidated Communications were acquired by McLeodUSA (MCLD) in 1997.

SRG Inc. developed network operations and management software products to the telecom industry. Thomas created the architecture and design for the software product and led the company’s global business development. Customers included CNI, Worldcomm, LCI-Qwest, Brooks Fiber, US Signal, ThriftyCall and other competitive telecom carriers. SRG was acquired by Consolidated Communications (CNSL) in 1994
